Belvedere Hotel Wedding
This historic Belvedere Hotel wedding incorporated many personal and gifted creations- from Katie’s beautiful gown and veil to the personal gifts they exchanged. It certainly didn’t hurt that Katie and Jon themselves are creatives so its not surprising that their friends were talented artists as well. Being a Savannah College of Art and Design alum myself I was so happy that Katie and Jon choose me to document their day:)
It was looking like a strong possibility of rain so we had many fun back-up ideas in the historic hotel. Golden hour in the winter happens much earlier so we made sure to to get pre-ceremony photos. A 1st look was the perfect choice since we really wanted to incorporate natural light portraits into their images. The warm winter sunset was an epic array of orange and gold which played off the georgeous architecture, Katie’s incredible hair (I wanted to be redhead after this wedding) and those amazing florals by Steelcut Flower Co. !! A little rain and very cold weather did not deter them and it was so worth it:)
Their ceremony took place inside the Belvedere Hotel. This hotel is known for its dramatic high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows glamorous chandeliers and epic ballrooms. The ceremony took place in a separate room from the reception which kept the mood feeling very personal and intimate. There was so much palatable emotion between Katie and Jon which made documenting their vows such a treat for us!
Beautiful wild floral centerpieces filled the tables. The grand ballroom filled with sparkling chandeliers channeled a feeling of old hollywood elegance. There was so much emotion and connection between the bride and the groom as they were tearful with joy throughout the entire day- so sweet!!. Thank you so much Katie and Jon for letting me document your day and share in your wedding day!
