This Monticello Wedding will be one that goes down in the books as the most visually magical places I have ever had the honor of photographing. The day was about as perfect of weather as you could ask for- bright blue skies and a slight breeze in the air- heaven! As we reached the top of the mountain on Thomas Jefferson’s property I had a feeling that this day was going to be very special.
Kendall and Alex tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at the historical UVA Chapel located in Charlottesville VA. Post ceremony we gathered outside the church to capture bridal party and fam
ily formals with the stunning church facade as our backdrop. After formals it was back up the mountain we went!
With a tent overlooking the mountains below and August weather feeling more like Fall I thought this could not get any better- I was so wrong! Tables were adorned with orchids overflowing from top to bottom. Laura Francis of Floral Presentations and her talented crew transformed the space! Their wedding planner Cinda of White Birtch Events did an amazing job in seamlessly executing the day. There was a feeling of joy and excitement in the air not to mention one of the best bands I have ever heard play at a wedding- If you can’t tell by the dancing it was a roaring celebration that I felt so honored to be a witness to. Congratulations Kendall and Alex!!
