Patapsco Female Institute Wedding

This Patapsco Female Institute wedding was my 1st wedding of the year and am amazing way to start the season!  I had met with Erin and Tyler the year prior and they were a lovely referral from amazing past clients who all work at the same design firm as Tyler.  I have absolutely LOVED every single couple from their creative firm and had a suspicion that the same would be true for these two.   We met over evening drinks at Woodberry Kitchen and I knew from the start of our conversation that these two loved each other deeply.  Not only were they kind and down to earth, but they were also not afraid to be vulnerable with each other and feel the feels- my type of people!

As there wedding day approach rain was looking promising but for a miracle chance held out and instead gifted us with some gorgeous foggy mist!  Did I mention that their venue had no roof?! The structure of the venue is absolutely breathtaking pulling in the scents, sounds and peacefulness of the outdoors.

Ceremony

Their wedding ceremony was held in a beautiful chapel portion of the structure.  Imagine exposed brick walls, beams, stucco and a canopy of trees.  It was elegant, romantic, and perfect. Their good friend married them both and personal vows were read aloud through moments of laughter, pauses to cry and gather composure, sweet smiles and spontaneous embraces.

Reception

These two have no shortage of style or amazing design sense. I mean check out their invitations deigned by none other than the groom himself.  There was such a natural whimsical beauty to the decor.  Many pics were handmade, made by friends or family  or special heirlooms. The florals were playful and bright which accented the minimal and cozy bistro lit canopies.

Erin and Tyler did not disappoint when they said during our 1st meeting that there would be lots of emotion and tears come their wedding day.  Everything was heartfelt from the speeches, to the dances- they were completely present and it honestly gave me the chills.  It was a complete honor to witness that kind of love.  Thank you both for being so wonderful to work with and for trusting me to have full creative control and the opportunity to tell your love story.
